Thirty Artists / Thirty Days

30 X 30 =1
Thirty Artists / 30 Days / 1 Great Cause

A fundraising art sale to benefit the Ann Arbor Art Center’s
Art for Kids Scholarship Fund

30 artists accepted the challenge put out by the Ann Arbor Art Center to create 30 paintings in 30 days to be sold to benefit one great cause – the Ann Arbor Art Center’s Art for Kids Scholarship Fund. The 10” x 12” paintings will be sold for $40 each and will be on display in the Ann Arbor Art Center’s second floor exhibition galleries beginning February 18, but will not be available for purchase until 12:00 noon on February 20. The sale will continue until 5:00 PM or until all the works of art are sold.

The Ann Arbor Art Center’s Art for Kids Scholarship Fund provides tuition and art supplies that enable kids to take classes who otherwise would not be able to do so. “The goal of this event is to generate significant resources for our Art for Kids Scholarship fund and I was very moved (although not surprised) by the immediate response from artists. We had 30 artists sign on within 15 days” said Marsha Chamberlin, President/CEO. Originally slated to include only 10″X12″ canvases, potters and jewelers also asked to contribute, expanding the variety of items for sale.
