A2 Football Streets: Street Closures, and a Big Thanks to Our Sponsors!
Ann Arbor, MI – As the vibrant colors of fall begin to emerge, Ann Arbor is gearing up for another exciting football season with our beloved A2 Fall Streets event! This year, we are thrilled to welcome residents and visitors back downtown for a celebration of community, sportsmanship, and local pride. Beginning on Thursday, September 5, 2024 through Sunday, October 27, 2024.
Street Closures:
A2 Fall Streets will feature weekly street closures, beginning every Thursday at 4 PM and continuing through Sunday. This initiative transforms our downtown area into a pedestrian-friendly zone, providing everyone with easy access to the best our city has to offer. Highlights include:
Live Music: Enjoy performances from talented local bands and artists. With genres ranging from jazz and blues to indie and rock, there’s something for everyone.
Outdoor Dining: Local restaurants will extend their dining areas onto the streets, offering a unique alfresco experience. Savor delicious meals and beverages while soaking in the fall ambiance.
Retail Access: Explore our vibrant streets and discover a wide array of retailers. Support local businesses while shopping for unique items.
Arts and Culture: Engage with Ann Arbor’s artistic spirit through art displays, street performances, and interactive installations.
To accommodate University of Michigan home football games, Main Street will reopen on Saturdays at 7 AM before game day festivities, continuing through the weekend. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these closures, which are designed to create a fun and safe environment for all.
Street Closure Details:
Main Street will reopen at 7 AM on Saturdays during home football games.
Washington Street will be closed from Ashley to Main Street.
Liberty Street will be closed from Ashley to Main Street, and Main Street to Fourth. Barricades will block traffic from entering Liberty from Main, while allowing traffic to flow north and south on Main Street.
