This family-friendly event invites the public to experience art in motion—no gallery walls, no velvet ropes—just raw creativity happening right before your eyes. You’ll see artists creating murals, chalk masterpieces, and experimental works directly on the streets, engaging with the community and turning the city into a canvas.

Artist Call: Apply to Create a Street Art Installation!
We're inviting artists to be part of Street Art Encounter—a one-day celebration of creativity and community in Downtown Ann Arbor on Friday, September 12, 2025.
Artists will receive all necessary supplies, and a public platform to showcase their work in front of thousands. Installations must be family-friendly, created live during the event (12 PM to sundown), and designed for temporary display on streets or sidewalks.
