Celebrate Friendship & Local Favorites at Downtown Ann Arbor’s Galentine’s Day Small Business Crawl

ANN ARBOR, MI — Grab your best friends and head downtown for one of Ann Arbor’s most-loved winter traditions: the 6th Annual Downtown Ann Arbor Galentine’s Day. Hosted by the Main Street Area Association, this annual small business crawl invites the community to celebrate friendship, self-love, and local shopping with exclusive promotions, pop-ups, tastings, and photo-worthy experiences throughout downtown.

This year’s Galentine’s Day event brings together 23 participating businesses offering creative cocktails, sweet treats, shopping perks, hands-on activities, and giveaways. Whether you’re sipping cider, shopping for Valentine’s gifts, or making something memorable with friends, Galentine’s Day is designed to turn a simple outing into a full downtown experience.

Participants can also take part in the popular passport-style crawl, returning for another year. Shoppers can pick up a Galentine’s Day passport at any participating business and collect stamps as they visit locations across downtown. Once complete, passports can be dropped off to be entered to win a grand Galentine’s Day gift basket filled with items and experiences from participating businesses. It’s a fun, interactive way to explore new spots while supporting local businesses.

This year’s activations include everything from Bløm Cider + Mead’s build-your-own bouquet bar featuring flowers from woman-owned Raindance Farm, DIY truffle-making at Mindo Chocolate Makers, and a mini market with local artists at The Circ Bar, to pop-up jewelry experiences, themed cocktails, photo walls, specialty desserts, and exclusive retail promotions. Guests can also enjoy Galentine’s blowout specials at One Eleven Salon, double loyalty points at Ferne Boutique, Washtenaw Dairy’s Dirty Pop pop-up at Rock Paper Scissors, and creative make-and-take experiences at shops like The Getup and London Beauty.

“Galentine’s Day is about creating moments that bring people together while showcasing the creativity of our downtown businesses,” said Ashley Schafer, Executive Director of the Main Street Area Association. “It’s a chance to celebrate friendship, explore new shops, enjoy great food and drinks, and experience Ann Arbor in a really joyful way during the winter months.”

The Main Street Area Association would like to thank this year’s sponsors and partners, including Destination Ann Arbor, Rock Paper Scissors, and Ferne Boutique, for helping make Galentine’s Day in Downtown Ann Arbor possible.

Whether you’re planning a girls’ day out, a solo self-care afternoon, or a festive evening downtown, Galentine’s Day offers something for everyone.
