Turning Construction Into Community
Like many downtown corridors, Fourth Avenue has experienced significant construction impacts over the past year. Rather than viewing the disruption as a setback, businesses along the corridor saw an opportunity to bring people together and celebrate the creativity and community that make the district special.
"Fourth Avenue is home to an incredible collection of locally owned businesses, artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs. This event creates an opportunity to support those businesses while enjoying a unique downtown experience that reflects the energy and personality of the corridor," said Ashley Schafer, Executive Director of the Main Street Area Association.
Support Local
Visitors are encouraged to spend the weekend exploring Fourth Avenue's shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues while enjoying the festivities. Downtown Ann Arbor remains open and accessible throughout the construction season, and supporting local businesses remains more important than ever.
Getting Downtown
Visitors are encouraged to walk, bike, use public transit, or park in one of downtown Ann Arbor's public parking structures. Despite ongoing construction projects, downtown remains open for business throughout the summer.
